What is JISC?
JISC is an independent advisory body that supports further and higher education by providing strategic guidance, advice and opportunities to use Information and Communications Technology (ICT) to support teaching, learning, research and administration.
Hairdressing-Training.com is the brainchild of Jo Jordan and Glen Burr who together have over 40 years of experience in the UK hairdressing industry.
As well as their many years of experience in training hairdressers, Jo and Glen are partners in a top London salon. They have travelled to various colleges to research which particular education and training provisions would best appeal to hairdressing students.
The website itself was developed and designed by Simon Sanders - a business partner in the venture.
Simon is an award winning web developer who specialises in developing websites for the public and voluntary sectors. His own company E-Z-Media Ltd was established in 1999 and has grown steadily providing website and CD-ROM development services for a wide range of clients.
Mimas is a JISC-supported national data centre at The University of Manchester, to provide the UK higher education, further education and research community with networked access to key data and information resources to support teaching, learning and research across a wide range of disciplines.
